Best Christmas Ever began in 2010 with one family's unexpected act of generosity and a simple idea: when people come together, they can change a family's story.
Today, BCE brings local leaders, businesses, and communities together to bless families who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own.
The vision for Best Christmas Ever began on Christmas Eve in 2010.
BCE founder Don was a single dad battling Ulcerative Colitis and facing a Christmas he would never forget. With an empty tree in front of him, he wondered how he would tell his young son the next morning that Santa wasn’t coming that year.
Then came a knock at the door.
On the other side stood his mother and other family members carrying two huge bags filled with gifts. What could have been their worst Christmas ever became their Best Christmas Ever—all because of the generosity of others.
That night, God planted a seed in Don’s heart to pay that generosity forward.
Don, along with a small group of family and friends, came together to surprise another local family with their own Best Christmas Ever. One family became another, and a simple act of generosity grew into a movement.
Today, BCE continues to bring people together to bless families throughout the United States, Canada, and beyond, proving just how far one act of unreasonable generosity can reach.

BCE partners with local leaders and businesses to bless each BCE family with a custom & unique Best Christmas Ever, tailored to the family situation. BCE provides continual support to families following their BCE, through our foundational BCE Family Pillars.
We have created a proven framework for local leaders to create and experience the results of unreasonable generosity and generational impact. We operate as a faith-based organization in principle and integrity. We do not identify with a specific denomination; however, our principles of operation and service are biblical.

BCE Captains are local leaders within their communities. We need captains who are interested in going ‘all out’ to take what could have been the worst Christmas ever for a family who has fallen on hard times through no fault of their own, and instead give them a surprise Best Christmas Ever!

“Both the Grandma and the Mom said they haven’t seen the son smile so much. He has mentioned it’s hard to understand why “those people” would do that to people they don’t know. He has stated “it really is the best Christmas ever” multiple times. His sweatshirts and under armor shoes are always touching him. The mom is still shocked, she hasn’t completely taken it all in yet. Her hand has been on her heart for a few days now. She is on fire to help this organization next year to pay it forward. Falling on hard times can leave a family in a difficult place. We want them to know there is a whole community out there to lift them up. We invite each family to connect with a local church or pastor to provide them a community of hope, support, and guidance in this time of need. It’s important to know that we are not alone during hard times.
We want to come alongside families who have fallen on hard times by offering support and mentorship to each family, based on what they are going through. We envision being able to support families after their BCE by providing them with additional resources.
For many families, financial difficulties are a result of other difficult circumstances. We offer the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University (FPU) Course to each family receiving the Best Christmas Ever. Once they complete the course, they are given an additional $1000 grant towards the debt of their choice. We hope this paves the path to financial freedom for each family.
Most families fall on hard times due to some sort of health issue. Typically, there has been something that happened within the year, that turned their life upside down. We hope to provide families with additional follow up for health that includes $1000 in gift cards for fresh healthy food upon completion of the Total Wellness Health Program.
